According to national intelligence bureau the prevalence of drugs in Kerala are increasing drastically.
And the studies shows that this has a significant impact on the behaviours of the school students.
DREAM( Drug Rehabilitation education and Mentoring) works among the school and college
students to reduce the prevalence through the promotive technique awareness generation, preventive
technique proving of counselling services and rehabilitative technique such as de addiction services.
As a part of this DREAM Trivandrum conducted an awareness program at LMS HSS Vattapara on
11 th January 2023.
The program was initiated as part of the first phase awareness generation programs, where DREAM
focus to provide a continuous follow up to the students whom we are meeting up. On the first phase
we were able to attend around 310 students of the school. And those were given awareness on the
effects of addiction and need of approaching a support service. The District Coordinator of the
project, Ms Neha Joseph and The Counsellor Ms Anooja R, Took Sessions for the students.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring) is the project initiated by Don Bosco Veedu
Society and Banglore Rural Education and Development Society focus to reduce the prevalence of
drugs among the school and college students. The project envisions to create an impact through three
phases of activities.
