Don Bosco National Forum

For reflection, sharing, and coordination among those involved in the Salesian ministry for the Young at Risk (YaR) in South Asia, to network with like-minded persons and organizations on behalf of YaR, to influence policies related to the young at risk at the state, national and international levels.

Vision and principles for action

Inspired by Don Bosco and challenged by the marginalization of people, we will strive by our attitudes, way of life, and actions, to empower the Young at Risk (YaR) and create a just and humane society by joining hands with socially responsible citizens and groups. We shall go where the young are marginalized, accompany them in their journey to fullness, ensure their rights and empower them to be agents of personal and social transformation.

We reach out to

Street children, child laborers, school dropouts, abandoned orphans, young prisoners or children in conflict with the law, substance abusers, children in war-torn areas and in conflict with the law, refugee children, children in the commercial sex trade, or children affected by HIV/ AID. On a yearly average, YaR Forum, through its partners, serves over two lakhs of children/youth at risk across India.

Caring Community Network

A network of Salesian YaR Centres to transform themselves into Society-supported / Community-based movements on behalf of the young at risk.
