The Ward-level Child Protection Committee (WCPC) held a meeting at Ward 14 in Nellivila on October 27, 2022. Mrs. Christeeba, the Anganwadi Teacher, presided over the meeting. 

32 adult members participated in the meeting, evaluated the child-friendly programmes, discussed the upcoming programmes, and welcomed new members to the team. The WCPC planned to conduct a painting competition and exhibition as part of the Children’s Day celebrations.  

Post the meeting, an awareness session was conducted on the topics, “Emotional Abuse” and “Substance Abuse”. Around 32 adults from Kudumbasree benefitted from the session. Ms. Anjali Satheesh J, CHILDLINE Counsellor, and Mr. Askar S, Team Member, carried out the session.
