The essential role of parents in reducing the usage of drugs and addiction

As part of providing awareness to parents on their role in reducing the prevalence of drugs and other forms of addiction, DREAM Trivandrum conducted an awareness program at the Mooroorkanam Anganwadi in Nellanad panchayat on 9th June 2023. The program was organised in collaboration with the Jagratha Samiti formed by the panchayat. The program was presided over by Sujatha Sateesh, Ward member Moorurkonam and the team was inaugurated by Ms Sreedevi, Worker Anganwadi. The awareness session paved an insight on the current scenario and practices that prevailed among the children and youth.

The sessions were handled by Ms Neha Joseph Coordinator DREAM Trivandrum and Ms Anooja R, Counselor DREAM Trivandrum.

DREAM -Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring is the right based initiative by Banglore Rural Education And Development Society and in Trivandrum the same is run by Don Bosco Veedu Society. We provide the preventive education via awareness sessions, counseling services and de addiction services to the children and youth in the society.
