A Don Bosco Initiative for underprivileged children At Karimadam Colony

Don Bosco Veedu Society conducted a one-day personality development session THALIRU for the underprivileged children of Karimadam colony on 22nd September 2023 at Karimadom Settlement. The programme aimed to improve and nourish knowledge through productive interactive sessions which integrates their capability. 

The program started with an ice-breaking session focusing on the creation of a friendly and comfortable environment for the children. This program was designed to foster teamwork, critical thinking, and personality development, leaving a positive impact on the participants.

An awareness session on significance of education in one’s life and time management were provided.   The team conducted exciting games such as “Balloons Cup Maze, Glass pyramid, Walker Bottle etc” which not only entertained the students but also imparted problem-solving and teamwork skills, enhancing the students’ physical coordination and cognitive abilities. Children performed some cultural programs during the session.

Rev. Fr. Dominic Kaniyantharayil (Asst. Director of Don Bosco Veedu Society) delivered a motivational talk to mentor the minds of the children. Mr. Ajay, Mr. Jaya Shankar, Ms. Sneha, Ms. Sruthi, Ms. Subita (Don Bosco Interns) led the sessions.
