The community outreach program of Camp Horizon 2K25 continued today with a visit to Karimadam Colony. The interns, staff, and camp coordinator spent the day interacting with the children and their families, gaining a deeper understanding of their environment and needs.
The children and their families welcomed the camp organizers with open arms, providing them with a unique opportunity to engage with the community. Post-lunch, the children and camp organizers gathered in a designated area, where the children were tasked with creating a vision chart.
The vision chart outlined the activities, resources, and materials the children desired, as well as their plans for the next year. The camp organizers guided and supported the children in this exercise, empowering them to take ownership of their aspirations.
Today’s activity concluded with a sense of accomplishment and connection, as the camp organizers and children of Karimadam Colony looked forward to future collaborations.
