Celebrating growth: Spark 2024 camp Valedictory ceremony

The final day of SPARK 2K24 dawned with anticipation as children eagerly gathered at the camp hall by 8:00 AM for the much-awaited cultural program practices. After a meticulous rehearsal, children and parents alike filled the hall with excitement and anticipation.
The proceedings commenced at 10:00 AM with a serene prayer song, setting the tone for the day’s events. Mr. Rony Thomas extended a warm welcome to all attendees, followed by a poignant presidential address by the esteemed chief guest, Mrs. Shaniba Begum A, the Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Fr. Jiji Kalavanal and Fr. Sebastian Kalambadan delivered heartfelt felicitation speeches, acknowledging the significance of the camp in nurturing young minds.
A captivating video presentation chronicling the journey of SPARK camp mesmerized the audience, highlighting the memorable moments and experiences shared by participants. Subsequently, students Sreedevi and Nivin eloquently shared their personal experiences, reflecting on the transformative impact of the camp on their lives.
Mr. Manuel George, in his felicitation address, lauded the efforts of the organizers and participants, underscoring the camp’s role in fostering holistic development. The much-awaited prize distribution ceremony followed, honoring students for their exemplary performance and dedication throughout the camp.
Angel, Aneesh, Ansika, Faihana, and Akash were recognized as the Best Camper, Best Hard Worker, Best Disciplined, Best Leader, and Best Learning Star respectively, receiving well-deserved accolades from the chief guest. Additionally, students Gokul, Nandu, Khaiz, Geffin, Rozario, Aji Kumar, and Nithin were commended with the Bumper prize for their perfect attendance, while Abhirami and Abhishek received recognition despite missing only one day of the camp. Consolation prizes were awarded to all remaining participants, acknowledging their efforts and enthusiasm.
The cultural extravaganza unfolded with captivating performances by the students, beginning with a thought-provoking skit by Nandu and the team advocating against drug abuse. Aji Kumar and team mesmerized the audience with a melodious group song, while Faihana and team lit up the stage with an energetic group dance, leaving the audience spellbound.
Br. Ferick expressed gratitude in his vote of thanks, concluding the formal proceedings. The camp concluded on a nostalgic note as children joined together to sing the SPARK anthem for one last time, symbolizing the bonds forged and memories cherished during the camp.
As the day drew to a close, attendees departed after enjoying refreshments, while dedicated staff and interns undertook the task of cleaning the camp premises. A review meeting, led by Mr. Manuel George, provided an opportunity for reflection and feedback, marking the successful culmination of SPARK 2K24 camp, leaving indelible impressions on all involved.
