On 29th April 2023, Thiruvananthapuram Railway CHILDLINE conducted a sensitization program to the Railway Porters of TVC.   Mr. Arun, Mrs. Beena and Mrs. Thahira gave awareness on the topic of “CHILDLINE and its activities” to the porters of TVC & distributed pamphlets to the Railway Porters.

A porter is a railway employee. The role of a porter is to assist passengers at Railway Station and to handle the loading, unloading, and distribution of luggage and parcels.  The main aim of the program was to make the Railway Porters of TVC understand about the activities of Railway CHILDLINE, its functions, operation procedures and the 5th years of journey of RCHD were explained. An introduction of CHILDLINE, Working Procedures, Aim and Services of the Childline were also mentioned in this session. All the staff was actively involved in this sensitization program and they cleared their regarding the topic. Railway Childline is an active and effective part of Childline. The outreach programs of the project mainly focused on child protection and providing awareness about Childline and its activities
