On 5th May 2023, Thiruvananthapuram Railway Child Help Desk organized a sensitization program for Parcel Office Staff of TVC. The session was handled by Mrs. Zeena Sunil Coordinator, (RCHD) on the topic of “CHILDLINE and its activities” in Railway Station premises. Mr. Jeffin (Counsellor, RCHD) and Mrs. Beena (Team Member, RCHD) distributed pamphlets to the Parcel Office Staff.

The main aim of the program was to make the Parcel Office Staff of TVC understand about the activities of CHILDLINE, its functions, operation procedures and the 5th years of journey of RCHD were explained. An introduction of CHILDLINE, Working Procedures, Aim and Services of the Childline were also mentioned in this session. All the staff was actively involved in this sensitization program. Parcel Office Staff are one of the secondary stake holders in the Railway Station premises.  After the session, the staff promised to assure the safety and security of the children who reached in the Railway Station Premises.

Railway Childline is an active and effective part of Childline. The outreach programs of the project mainly focused on child protection and providing awareness about Childline and its activities.
