Sensitization program at Karimadam

On 29 March 2023, RCHD team conducted a sensitization program for the children of Karimadom Colony ahead of open house program. The first session was taken by Mr. Sajeev about CHILDLINE and he interacted with the children through open ended questions and games.  All the children were actively participated in this session.  The aim of the session is aware about the children more about CHILDLINE, its services and procedures.  The second session was taken by Mrs. Beena Roy on the topic of “Good Touch & Bad Touch”. The current scenario of child issues it is essential to empower the children with the proper knowledge about good touch and bad touch.   Good touch or safe touch is a touch that makes a child feels safe, cared for, and joyful. Bad touch or unsafe touch is a touch that makes a child uncomfortable, scared, or anxious.  The third session was taken by Mrs. Zeena Sunil interacted with the children and gave awareness about the importance of conducting an Open House program. In this session we prepared the children for open house program and how to interact with the Officials, how to ask their queries, dilemma, problems, their present situations, family crisis, and complication around their society. In this sensitization program, all the children were actively involved it. Mrs. Zeena Sunil, Mrs. Beena and Mr. Sajeev were distributed Pamphlets and brochures to the children.

Railway Childline is an active and effective part of Childline. The outreach programs of the project mainly focused on child protection and providing awareness about Childline and its activities.
