Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring (DREAM) organized an enlightening awareness session at Government High School, Uttaramcode, with the primary objective of addressing the pressing issue of drug abuse and other forms of addiction among children and youth. The program aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and addiction, and provide information and support for students.
Experienced professionals of DREAM Trivandrum attended the students in their own classes to address the issues identified. They discussed the physical and psychological effects of substances, legal consequences, and available rehabilitation options.
Recognizing the signs of addiction early is essential to prevent the situation from escalating is the key point to be remembered in order to help the young generation from being to the hands of addiction. The session prioritized this view.
DREAM- Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring is a right based initiative of Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society with the support of Banglore Rural Education And Development Society to reduce the prevalence of addiction and substances among the youth and children. This is achieved through various programs like awareness sessions counselling services and De addiction services.
