DREAM Trivandrum observed Independence Day and conducted a school-level awareness programme at MMRHS Neeramankara, St Mary’s Pappanamcode and NSS High School, Perunthani. DREAM Trivandrum put forward an initiative named Kayyil Oru Vittu Pena, in which they provided a seed pen to the students. The programme aimed to spread the message of channelizing their energy towards positive things such as environmental protection and creative artwork through productive usage of time. In line with this vision, the team distributed the pens to the students after the session.

The programme was initiated as part of the second phase of awareness programmes of DREAM. Ms. Neha Joseph, DREAM District Coordinator, Ms. Anooja R, District Counsellor, and Mr. Nithin KK, Social Worker, interacted with the students and raised awareness among the students about the issue of drug abuse.

DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring) is a project initiated by Don Bosco Veedu Society and Bangalore Rural Education and Development Society. The project focuses on reducing the access to and use of drugs among school and college students. The project envisions creating an impact through three phases of activities.
