A pilot study was successfully conducted in the Bund community under Kunnukuzhy and Pattom wards by Don Bosco VeeDu Society in collaboration with interns from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences.
The initiative aimed at understanding the socio-economic conditions, educational status, and emerging needs of the beneficiaries in the community. Structured questionnaires were used as the primary tool for data collection. The study focused on gathering reliable baseline information to plan effective community development interventions.
Interns actively engaged with families through household visits, interacting with residents and collecting detailed responses. The process also helped build rapport with the community members, encouraging them to openly share their concerns, aspirations, and suggestions.
The findings of this pilot study will serve as a foundation for future programs focusing on education support, women empowerment, youth development, and welfare initiatives in the area.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Don Bosco VeeDu Society towards evidence-based community work and participatory development.
