MSW students from BVM Holy Cross College, Kottayam, during the orientation visit and interactive session at the institution.

An orientation visit was organized for the MSW students of BVM Holy Cross College, Kottayam, to provide practical exposure to child care services and institutional functioning. Around 50 MSW students participated in the programme along with staff members.The programme began with an introduction by Fr. Thomas Meckaden, Director, who welcomed the students and briefed them about the vision, mission, and objectives of the institution. He highlighted the importance of professional social work interventions in the field of child care and protection.Following this, an interactive orientation session was conducted by Mr. Akhil Devasia, Project Coordinator. The session focused on institutional programmes, project implementation, roles of social workers, and practical challenges in the field. The students actively engaged in the discussion, gaining valuable insights into real-life social work practice.
