On 31st October 2025, an orientation program was held at Don Bosco Nivas, Thampanoor, commencing at 10:15 a.m. The session was organized for Don Bosco School, Mambata, with 17 students and 2 staff members participating enthusiastically. The program aimed to familiarize the participants with the various social initiatives and educational activities carried out by Don Bosco institutions.The session began with an address by Fr. Thomas Meckadan, who gave an inspiring overview of the Don Bosco Shelter Home and its mission to protect, support, and empower children in need of care and guidance. His talk highlighted the core values of compassion, service, and inclusivity that guide the institution’s work.Following this, Ms. Kavya introduced the participants to several key projects—Awake, Impact, Keen, Ujwal, Kismat, Dream, and Sheria—outlining their objectives and achievements in community development. The program concluded with Mr. Arun Marie presenting the SPARK program and other activities at the Shelter Home, motivating the students to take part in initiatives that foster personal growth and social responsibility.
