An orientation class was held for the social work trainees from Loyola College of Social Sciences at Don Bosco Nivas on November 3, 2022. Mr. Abhijith TK, Project Coordinator, Don Bosco Nivas, addressed the group and explained the projects, functions and activities of their organization. The organizational structure and aim of the organization were also defined. 25 students attended the orientation and learnt more about the community that Don Bosco is working to serve.

Orientation visits are beneficial for students who wish to acquire a first-hand experience regarding the work they are about to engage in after graduation. These visits give them a perspective on which field is suitable for them and the practical aspects of social work.

Don Bosco Nivas is a shelter home for children at-risk and those in need of care and protection.
