Don Bosco, Trivandrum, began the third batch of free entrance coaching on 3rd August 2024 at Don Bosco Nivas, Thampanoor. The project named Candle-IMPACT (Intervention and Mentoring for Personality Advancement and Career Training) aims at bridging the educational divide and providing equal opportunities for the financially weaker, but bright students aspiring to enter prestigious institutions for education. The coaching classes, which cover a wide range of subjects including mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, are designed to prepare students especially for engineering and medical entrance tests. Experienced educators and professionals ensure that the students receive top-notch guidance and support.
Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director of DBVS) in his address emphasized the importance of hard work and focus. “Be strong, steadfast & humble” he quoted Don Bosco, the educationist saint of youth. Ms. Anmy Therese Joseph (Coordinator, IMPACT) instructed the parents and students on the coaching programme. Mrs. Gopika and Ms. Aiswarya ked the classes. With 41 students enrolled in the IMPACT classes, all the seats have been filled.
