The second day of the 14-day residential summer camp for the beneficiaries of the MIRACLE project has successfully concluded with a handful of informative sessions and other activities.
The day started with a communicative English session taken by Ms. Ann Mary and Br. Joseph. Children were engaged in activity-based learning that enabled them to grasp the theoretical aspects more conveniently. This was followed by an informative session named “Thirasheela”, which incorporated the basics of drama and theatre art. Mr. Kannan, the resource person for this special session, covered the topic in an energetic and unique way that the children enthusiastically took part in by interacting with the resource person.
Camp then successfully followed the general timetable, which included “Marvel Studios”, the musical instrument session, games, a study session, and later daily evaluation on general knowledge and communicative English. The day wound up with an entertaining night programme, which was coordinated by Br. Ajil and Br. Joseph Xavier. This special occasion comprised various activities that taught them the essence of group dynamics and working individually in a team. Groups of outstanding performers were recognised and awarded special points.
Miracle is a project that assists children who have been separated from their primary carers to keep them out of the system. MIRACLE provides skill training, English training, counselling, and financial assistance for the education of 40 children in the Trivandrum district.
