The ultimate goal of the camp was to give an opportunity for the children to make their summer vacation enjoyable and memorable. MARVEL camp has already achieved this goal. The children are now showing tremendous changes in their routine, habits and behaviour. They are now disciplined and ignited to learn more.

The day began with an English session where tenses were revised and new verbs and their forms were introduced. The Marvelous session was on the ‘Art of Self Defence’ and this was taken by Mrs. Jaimary and Mrs. Anseeba who are Janamaithri Police Officers that have been working in the field of self defence from 2015.

This was followed by a games session and an evaluation session. At night, the children enjoyed the day’s Star Wars, which was ‘Literary Bonanza’. It was a programme filled with activities related to English Vocabulary. The children were actively involved as they spent much of their break and rest time preparing for this programme as a team.

MIRACLE is a project that assists children who have been separated from their primary carers to keep them out of the system. MIRACLE provides skill training, English training, counselling, and financial assistance for the education of 40 children in the Trivandrum district.
