The 14-day residential camp for the beneficiaries of the MIRACLE project kickstarted officially with an elegant inaugural ceremony. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the camp prayer, followed by a group song by the children.

The ceremony started with a welcome address by Br. Joseph Xavier, camp chief, who presented a brief account of the MIRACLE Project and its recent activities and achievements. Rector Fr. Jiji Kalavanal, in his presidential address, briefed the meaning and story related to the camp title, “MARVEL”.

This was followed by a brief ceremony to launch the introduction video of the camp by Fr. Philip Parakatt. He also shared an inspiring and interesting story to boost the enthusiasm of the children. Ann Mary, coordinator of the project, extended her votes of thanks to the chief guest and the guest of honour. Along with this, a general meeting was conducted where the children were given the general instructions of the camp.

The residential camp is happening in 14 days between 03 May to 16th May where 30 beneficiaries of the project are the prime participants. The 10 member organising team is led by Br. Joseph Xavier and Br. Ajil along with the project coordinator Ms. Ann Mary. The principle agenda of the camp is to give intensive communicative English training along with soft skill training sessions on various topics such as Theatre Art, Life skill education, Photography etc and thereby making their vacation fruitful. They are also given trainings on different musical instruments according to their interest such as Guitar, Flute, Keyboard and Chenda.

MIRACLE is a project that assists children who have been separated from their primary carers to keep them out of the system. MIRACLE provides skill training, English training, counselling, and financial assistance for the education of 40 children in the Trivandrum district.
