
A vibrant street play on screen addiction was organized at MSK Nagar under the UACT & BODHI initiatives of Don Bosco Veedu Society, Trivandrum, aiming to spread awareness on the rising issue of digital overuse among youth and children. The event began with an energetic flash mob performance by the Don Bosco Horizon Team, drawing the attention of the community and setting the stage for the awareness programme. The highlight of the day was the inauguration of the Don Bosco Theatre Crew by Rev. Fr. Jiji Kalavanal SDB, Rector of Don Bosco Veedu Society, who emphasized the power of theatre and street performances as tools for social transformation. The students of Loyola College of Social Sciences, Sreekariyam, presented a powerful street play on screen addiction, creatively portraying the psychological, social, and familial impacts of excessive screen use. Their performance not only entertained but also inspired reflection among the audience. Fr. Sabu P. Thomas, Principal of Loyola College, and Fr. Saji, Field Work Supervisor, addressed the gathering and appreciated the students for their meaningful community engagement. They highlighted the importance of field-based learning and the role of youth in addressing social issues.
