Children in the SPARK Project participated in English lessons and celebrated Diwali.

Kids engaging in lessons and celebrating Diwali

For the children in the SPARK project, a full-day session took place on November 11, 2023, at Don Bosco Nivas from 10:30 to 4:00 p.m., along with Diwali celebrations. Five kids took part in this. Reviewing the lessons from the preview class marked the beginning of the session. “Communicating Basic Emotions” was the topic of the day. Games were incorporated in the session.  Diwali celebration in the forenoon were under full swing. Competitions for drawings and greeting cards with the theme “Diwali” were held. Games and puzzles were also encompassed. As the day arrived to an end, sweets were distributed, kids burst crackers’ and were beaming with joy.

SPARK is an initiative to reinforce the academic and non-academic competencies of deprived, vulnerable, and semi-orphan children living in our operational areas. The project focuses on a holistic development model offering year-round academic preparation and supplementary education.
