Kismath Villagers Cricket Tournament

KISMAT THRISSUR MHD organized Cricket Tournament for 10 KISMAT Villages at Mulankunnathukavu Panchayat Ground

The tournament was officially inaugurated by KISMAT Thrissur District Director Fr. Mathew Kapplikunnel SDB. After the official inauguration of the tournament umpires instructed the players about the rules and regulations of gameplay in the tournament. They were also given instruction that the umpire’s decision will be final and cannot be changed at any circumstances. After two rounds of matches for each team, Pattikkad Winners from Group – A progressed to the first semifinals of the tournament with 6 points winning both their matches, Kerala Famous from Group – B progressed to the first semifinals with 6 points to compete against Pattikkad Winners to seal a spot in the finals of the tournament, Sabuj Sangha from Group – C progressed to the second semifinal with 3 points and highest net run rate in the group +36(NRR) and finally Rock Stars from Group – A with the highest Net Run Rate from the rest of the teams which was +31 progressed to the second semifinals to compete against Sabuj Sangha to book a spot in the finals. In the first semifinals Pattikkad Winners won the match and progressed into the finals as the first finalists and in the second semifinals Rock Stars won the match and progressed to the finals as second finalists of the tournament. The final war, the finals happened between Pattikkad Winners and Rock Stars and Rock Stars from Thiroor emerged as the winners of the tournament in the thrilling final which went into the final over of the match. Finally it was the time for prize distribution ceremony. This time the trophies were grand, there were trophies for Winners, Runners up, Best player, Best bowler and Best Batsman of the tournament. Along with the trophies there were medals for winners and runners up of the tournament. The best player of the tournament was Ashraful Islam from Sabuj Sangha which was distributed by Mr. John Sumit (KISMAT, State Coordinator), the best batsman of the tournament was also Ashraful Islam from Sabuj Sangha which was distributed by Mrs. Sruthi Menon (KISMAT, Thrissur District Coordinator), the best bowler of the tournament was Sanjay from Pattikad Winners which was distributed by Akash K C (KISMAT Thrissur Volunteer), the runners up of the tournament was Pattikkad Winners which was distributed by Mr. John Sumith (KISMAT, State Coordinator) and the medals were distributed by Akash K C (KISMAT, Thrissur Volunteer) and finally the winners of the tournament was Rock Stars, which was distributed by Mrs. Sruthi Menon (KISMAT, Thrissur District Coordinator) and the medals were distributed by Akash K C (KISMAT, Thrissur Volunteer). The tournament became a huge success in comparison to the previously conducted tournaments.
