Trivandrum Railway Child Help Desk conducted an International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression was observed on June 4th “to acknowledge the pain suffered by children throughout the world who are the victims of physical, emotional, and mental abuse.” The programme mainly focused on giving awareness to the children and passengers who arrived at the railway station on that day. The children beautifully wrote on the picture “STOP” on the banner. The GRP officers also joined the program. Around 190 passengers participated with children in this programme.
In the light of various child-abuse cases taking place in our society, this awareness programme was very much necessary and impactful as it reached out to a huge crowd.
Railway Childline works for the rescue, restoration and rehabilitation of run-away children who are found in railway stations.

Railway CHILDLINE is a MWCD (Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India) in collaboration with the Ministry of Railways for the care and protection of children in contact with the railways. The Railway Child Help Desk has intervened in 990+ child related issues in Trivandrum Central Railway Station. Railway child Help desk provides 24 hour counselling.
