An awareness programme was conducted for the students of Nirmalalayam Nursing College, Monvila, on addiction related to drugs and mobile phones on October 30, 2022. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Shivakumar R, SHO, Thumba Police Station and Mr. Insmam, Sub Inspector, Thumba Police Station, shared their messages during the function. The sessions were handled by the team members of DREAM Trivandrum.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Yodhavu, the anti-drug campaign by Kerala Government and Janamytri Police Station, Thumba. The sessions were taken by Ms Neha Joseph, DREAM District Coordinator, and Ms Anooja R, District Counsellor. The students took an anti-drug oath and became part of the project by creating posters against drugs and addiction.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring) is a project initiated by the Don Bosco Veedu Society and Banglore Rural Education and Development Society that focuses on reducing the prevalence of drugs among school and college students. The project envisions creating an impact through three phases of activities.
