DREAM Trivandrum Holds Drug Awareness Program at White Memorial College of Arts and Science, Panachamoodu.
To address the growing problem of drug use among young people, DREAM Trivandrum organized an awareness session at White Memorial College of Arts and Science in Panachamoodu.This program aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug addiction, its effects on mental and physical health, how addiction develops, and the specific pressures young adults face regarding substance use. The session was designed to be interactive, with students encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts.
The event was led by Ms. Neha Joseph, Coordinator of DREAM Trivandrum, and Ms. Anooja R, Counselor at DREAM Trivandrum. They discussed the serious risks associated with drug use, shared advice on making healthier choices, and highlighted ways to prevent addiction. Their guidance helped students understand the long-term impact of substance abuse on their lives and how to protect their well-being.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) is a program by BREADS (Bangalore Rural Education and Development Society), in collaboration with the Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society. It aims to reduce drug use among youth through education, counseling, and support for those seeking help with addiction. All services are free, reflecting DREAM’s commitment to building a drug-free community and guiding young people toward positive choices.
