Three members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), consisting of the CWC Chairperson and two CWC members, visited Don Bosco Veedu Society, Thiruvananthapuram, on August 8, 2022. We conducted a meeting and discussed our various programmes and projects. The purpose of the visit was to interact with the staff and children at Don Bosco Veedu.

Mr. Manuel George, Programme Manager, welcomed the guests. Fr. Saji SDB, Director of Don Bosco Nivas, gave an overview of the organisation and the various projects, policies and schemes undertaken by Don Bosco Veedu Society.

Adv. Shaniba Begum, CWC Chairperson, talked about the organisation and highlighted the longstanding relationship between the organisation and the CWC. “Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society has a very special relationship with CWC and this organisation is considered as a major backbone of the Child Welfare Committee”, said Adv. Shaniba Begum. She also lauded the well-organised performance of our organisation in various matters, including cleanliness and the safeguarding and handling of the children living under our care.

Adv. Shaniba also talked about the unity of the staff in Don Bosco Veedu Society. The CWC members, Dr. Mary John and Alice Skaria, also attended the meeting and shared their opinions and views about the organisation. The CWC interacted with all our staff and the children. They visited the rooms and dormitories of children. They also visited our other project offices. As a token of our love and gratitude, we presented a gift to the CWC Chairperson and members.
