Children revising the tenses that they leant during the camp.

A session named ‘Bienvenido’ was conducted for the beneficiaries of the MIRACLE project on May 29, 2023. The morning session included activities that revised the portions of tenses which they learnt during the camp. The English session comprised learning of Nouns where children were taught the types of nouns with daily examples. This was followed by an English class with Mrs. Arti, who taught them basic etiquette and mannerisms for spoken English. Learning English is a continuous process. As it is a complex language, while teaching it, one has to include various interactive activities and games to make the process interesting and catchy. The children learn English and remember it only by building their interest and curiosity.

The afternoon session included a hobby training session where training on musical instruments such as Guitar, keyboard, flute and chenda were provided. The session concluded with an energizer activity of group games where they can exhibit the skills of teamwork and coordination.

MIRACLE is a project that assists children who are deprived of primary caregivers by providing skill training, English training, counseling, and financial assistance to 40 children in Trivandrum district.
