On 24 June 2024, DREAM Trivandrum conducted an awareness program for
Anganwadi workers and helpers under ICDS Trivandrum Urban 3. The program
aimed to educate participants about the counseling services offered by DREAM and
the effects of addiction among children.
The program was conducted by the team DREAM Trivandrum, in collaboration
with ICDS Trivandrum. The class focused on the services offered by DREAM,
including awareness creation, prevention, counseling, and rehabilitation. The team
also discussed the effects of addiction among children, which include poor
academic performance, behavioural problems, mental health issues, social isolation,
and health problems.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) is an initiative of
BREADS (Bangalore Rural Education and Development Society) that aims to create
a drug-free society. We collaborate with schools and government agencies to provide
awareness, prevention, counseling, rehabilitation, and education to combat drug
abuse among children and youth.
