Providing awareness to the children on the drugs, the addiction caused by this, and the other
forms of addiction helps them get an insight on the negative impacts of the same. DREAM
Trivandrum conducted an awareness session at St Josephs High school Anjuthengu. The
session mainly focused to address the topics such as the facts related with addiction, the
effects created by the same, the science of addiction and issues related to adolescence.
The topics were covered through an interactive session. Ms. Neha Joseph, Coordinator,
DREAM Trivandrum and Ms. Anooja R, Counsellor of DREAM Trivandrum led the
sessions.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring) is a right-based initiative by
Bangalore Rural Education And Mentoring (BREADS) to reduce the prevalence of drugs and
addiction among children and youth. Preventive education strategies such as awareness
sessions, counseling services, and de-addiction services to address these issues are taken
forward with the association of Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society. The project envisions
to create a drug-free environment thus, we try to reach out the services in free of coast for our
beneficiaries.
