ARAVAM 2.0 – Day 3 – Onam Celebration for the children in MIRACLE

The onam celebration ARAVAM 2.0 began with a splash of joy. The children decorated the hall and stage completed all the preparations including doing a beautiful floral arrangement, Pookalam to symbolize onam. The celebration began with crazy and fun onam games. The games included ‘Do not drop the balloon’, obstacle race and the traditional ‘tug of war’. This was followed by an ‘anthakshari competition. After this, the cultural programmes began. The children performed a wonderful group song and a spectacular group dance. 

After this, the concluding ceremony was held. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Josna, which was followed by the dignitaries Fr. Jiji Kalavanal, Rector, Fr. Saji Elambasseril, Director and Mr. Antony Boban, Benefactor sharing beautiful onam messages. Prizes were distributed to the winners of Onam games. The celebration ended with a grand ‘Ona Sadhya’ which all the children and their caretakers enjoyed.

MIRACLE is a project that supports children who are deprived of primary caregivers with the aim of preventing them from entering the system. MIRACLE provides skill training, English training, counseling, and financial assistance for education for 40 children in Trivandrum District.
