“Art has a significant role in creating awareness on the public…” DREAM Trivandrum in collaboration with Don Bosco Veedu Society and Kerala Tourism Protection Development Council (KTPDC)Organised anti drug painting exhibition at Hawai beach, Kovalam. We were extremely glad to receive the local support to conduct such an event and the same was inaugurated by Shri Suresh Kumar, SI Kovalam police station and presided over by Rev Fr Jiji Kalavanal, Rector Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society.
The Chendamelam under the leadership of Ms. Tuesday from England made the entire program magnificent. The attention of the audience was gathered with the help of dance performances and later the floor was taken over by the natives who performed their creative spirits. The Paintings conveyed anti-drug message to the public and it proved, even the pictures can speak more.. The occasion was blessed with the presence of the members of KTPDC, Kovalam Police station, Fr Saji Elambaseril, director of Don Bosco Veedu Society. More than 50 paintings on the anti drug theme was exhibited in the evening. And those were done by 39 artists from different parts of Kerala during the campaign Varna Lahari at KSRTC Thampanoor organised by DREAM Trivandrum, Don Bosco Veedu Society and Creative Arts. Varna lahari at KSRTC Thampanoor was a painting and exhibition meant to create an among the public and was conducted on 21st January 2023
The program was an international experience where we were able to spread the visibility of DREAM to people from various countries. The participants included more than 150 tourists from different countries and natives. The visibility of the project and the anti drug awareness were spread to more than 500 people.
