Thiruvananthapuram: For orientation students of Mount Carmel College, Karukadam

Kothamangalam paid a visit to the Don Bosco Veedu Society, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to providing shelter and support for underprivileged children and youth. Accompanied by teachers, the students from Mount Carmel College arrived at the shelter on February 16, 2024. Thirty students were present for the orientation. They were seated and were shown a video presentation about Don Bosco and its history. After the video, Mr.Akhil Devasia led the orientation with a presentation about the organization structure and projects happening in Don Bosco. Father Dominic Kaniyantharayil SDB and Mr.Emanuel Silas later led the orientation talking about their experiences in the NGO. The orientation aims to provide a reminder of the power of community and the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need as to create a better society.
