I have been working with Don Bosco Nivas for one month as per 5 th sem field practicum it was a good experience in my life as a social work trainee. I was talking and working with people from different spheres and ages each person taught something valuable. They inspired to push my limits, and they taught me to think about the society first and myself later. It was the first experience in social work field .one of the greatest experience was to be a part of so many project under Don Bosco Nivas. While working on each project I got different perspective from the organization. I find a lot of happiness doing my bit for the society.
The joy that I get when I meet children who standing in different level is become soul touching. I have understood that relationship are not always made through blood .A recent experience was working with Childline which influenced me a lot and made me really aware of the importance of children in society. While working with Childline, I was able to learn more about the physical and mental problems faced by children. I was able to understand the different types of cases and ways to treat them and the importance and relevance of each case. This was a new venue for me.
Counselling for children who mentally challenged by abuse for their safety and giving them the courage they need in life. This is one of the things that impressed me the most. With the concept of care and protection of children, the Child Line’s activity was an important part in each children's life. I am very happy to be a part of this program and it influences me a lot.
