Don Bosco Veedu is a socially conscious organisation. We keep our eyes open to what is happening in our society and become aware of the welfare of mainly the marginalised and how we can contribute to their well-being.
A project that focuses on rebuilding a drug-free society, primarily catering to children and youth. We work in collaboration with schools and other governmental agencies. This involves awareness creation, prevention, counselling, rehabilitation, etc... This is a state-level operation of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
This project is implemented in Karimadom, an urban slum in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. The majority of the people are headload workers in the marketplace, and the needs of their children are often unattended. The KEEN initiative is a tool to empower the residents of Karimadom to be socially, psychologically, and economically independent and reach sustainability.
“Apni KISMAT Apni Hat” (My destiny is in my own hands.) - Kerala Interstate Migrant's Alliance for Transformation (KISMAT) is a project for the care and restoration of the rights of the interstate migrant population.
Kerala Interstate Migrants Alliance for Transformation is a collective effort by Don Bosco to reach out to the growing population of young inter-state migrants at risk across 11 districts in the State of Kerala, India, with welfare measures to address exploitation and poor living conditions.
The DREAM project has already covered 30 school-level awareness programs, six college-level awareness programs, two teacher's training programs, two days of intensive leadership training programs, and several parent training programs.
