Shelter Home
Don Bosco Nivas is a temporary shelter facility to provide a safe and comfortable short stay for children in need of care and protection.
The Children are provided
- Shelter
- Clothing and medication
- Short-term skill training
- Long-term rehabilitation services
This center is registered under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000 with facilities to accommodate 25 children at a time.
Goals
- To Rescue and protect children from the trauma of physical and sexual abuse, extreme neglect, being abandoned, and being a victim of child labour or beggary.
- To help the children overcome their initial trauma through individual counselling and increase their self-acceptance, and restore dignity
- To provide children with vocational training and primary literacy education.
- To unite the children with their families or provide institutional care.
