Don Bosco Nivas Bids Warm Farewell to Beloved Fathers

A heartfelt farewell programme was beautifully organized at Don Bosco Nivas to honour the dedicated service and remarkable journey of four esteemed Fathers – Fr. Jiji Kalavanal (Rector), Fr. Thomas Meckaden (Director), Fr. K.T. Varghese (Administrator), and Fr. Jitto (Assistant Director of BREADS) – as they prepare to begin a new chapter of service in different institutions.

The programme, held at Nivas, witnessed an atmosphere filled with gratitude, emotions, appreciation, and celebration as staff members, students, and well-wishers gathered together to express their heartfelt respect and admiration for the Fathers who have significantly contributed to the growth and welfare of the institution and its community.

The event commenced with warm felicitations delivered by Mr. Akhil Devasia, Project Coordinator, who appreciated the Fathers for their inspiring leadership, guidance, commitment, and invaluable service rendered during their tenure. Their contributions towards the institution and the lives of students and staff were fondly remembered and acknowledged.

Adding colour and warmth to the occasion, students presented vibrant cultural programmes, making the evening lively and memorable. Their performances reflected love, gratitude, and admiration towards the Fathers, creating a joyful yet emotional atmosphere.

One of the most touching moments of the programme was the reply speeches delivered by the Fathers. Fr. Jiji Kalavanal reflected upon his meaningful six-year journey as Rector, cherishing the memories, experiences, and relationships built over the years. Fr. Thomas Meckaden shared reflections on his impactful one-year journey as Director, expressing gratitude for the opportunities to serve and accompany the community. Fr. K.T. Varghese also shared his heartfelt reflections, recalling his valuable experiences and expressing gratitude for the journey at Don Bosco Nivas. Fr. Jitto expressed his sincere appreciation and encouragement while reminiscing about his meaningful time with the institution.

The farewell programme was conducted beautifully, blending emotions, celebration, memories, and gratitude. The evening concluded with heartfelt wishes, tokens of appreciation, and warm send-offs, as the Don Bosco Nivas family bid farewell to the Fathers with love, respect, and prayers for their continued mission and service in their new institutions.
