Festive Celebration Brings Cheer to Children at Don Bosco Veedu with Finastra Social Impact team

Children of AWAKE & SPARK celebrating Christmas with the Social Impact Team of Finastra, interns, and faculty, spreading joy through performances, gifts, and shared moments of togetherness.

The children of AWAKE and SPARK celebrated Christmas with great joy and enthusiasm today through a special programme organised with the support of various partners and volunteers. The event was graced by the Social Impact Team of Finastra, a leading software company based in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, who joined the celebration as chief guests.
As part of their social commitment, the Finastra team generously sponsored Christmas gifts for the children based on their individual wishes, bringing smiles and excitement to every child present. Ms. Sadhiya, Team Leader of the Social Impact Team, delivered a meaningful Christmas message, emphasising compassion, sharing, and collective responsibility towards children and communities.
The entire programme was coordinated by the Loyola College interns, who ensured smooth execution of the celebrations. The event was enriched with lively games, skits, and dance performances. Interns from St. Thomas College, Thrissur, and Don Bosco College, Bathery, also actively participated and contributed to the success of the programme.
A special skit performance, conducted under the leadership of Mr. Akhil Devasia, was performed by the children along with the interns, conveying strong social values and festive spirit. The programme further included children’s dance performances and carol songs, adding colour and joy to the celebration.
The gathering was blessed with messages from Fr. Jiji Kalavanal, Rector, Fr. Sebastian, Vicar, and Fr. Thomas Meckaden, Director, who spoke about the mission of the agency and highlighted the importance of collective efforts in nurturing and empowering children.
