Don Bosco Veedu Society successfully organized ‘Kalayum Kazhivum’, a theatre workshop designed for the children of MSK Nagar and Karimadom Colony, offering them a platform to explore creativity through performance arts. The workshop blended learning, expression, teamwork, and hands-on experience, making it a memorable and impactful event for all participants.
The introductory session was led by Mr. P.K. Jayaraj, renowned writer and socialist, who engaged the children with inspiring thoughts on theatre, social awareness, and the power of artistic expression. His interactive session encouraged children to think freely, understand the strength of imagination, and use theatre as a medium to express their experiences and dreams.
Following this, the MSW interns from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore facilitated activity-oriented theatre exercises, team-building games, movement activities, and improvisation tasks. Their sessions helped the participants develop essential skills such as cooperation, communication, confidence, and collective performance.
Toward the end of the workshop, the children actively participated in skits and short performances, showcasing the skills they learned during the sessions. Their energy and creativity shone through, reflecting the effectiveness of the workshop and the joy of learning together.
‘Kalayum Kazhivum’ proved to be a vibrant and enriching experience, helping children enhance their talents while strengthening team spirit and artistic expression.
