A group of nine Master of Social Work (MSW) Semester III students, accompanied by two faculty members from MACFAST (Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies, Tiruvalla), visited Don Bosco Veedu Society, Thiruvananthapuram as part of their academic curriculum.
The team was warmly welcomed by the staff and given an orientation session on the organization’s vision, mission, and various community-based programs. Students had the opportunity to interact with the project coordinators and understand the operational structure of the institution. The visit provided valuable insights into how social welfare interventions are designed and implemented to address pressing societal issues, especially those affecting vulnerable communities.
This exposure visit served as a bridge between theoretical classroom learning and practical field realities, equipping the students with a deeper understanding of communication, case management, and community development strategies.
