DREAM Trivandrum organized an awareness session at Government Girls high school
Neyyatinkara aimed at educating students about the risks of drug addiction. The session
addressed important topics such as what addiction is, how it affects the body and mind, the
science behind it, and the challenges teenagers often face during this time. The session
encouraged students to ask questions and engage in discussions, making it highly interactive.
Ms. Neha Joseph, Coordinator of DREAM Trivandrum, and Ms. Anooja R, Counselor at
DREAM Trivandrum, led the program, offering valuable advice on avoiding drug use and
staying informed about its negative impacts. The purpose was to raise awareness and
empower students to make responsible choices.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) is a project by BREADS
(Bangalore Rural Education and Development Society) in partnership with Trivandrum Don
Bosco Veedu Society. The initiative provides free services such as education, counseling, and
de-addiction support to reduce drug use among children and youth, working towards creating
a drug-free environment.
