DREAM Trivandrum held an awareness session at Government Higher secondary school
kottukal to educate students about the dangers of drug addiction and its harmful effects. The
session focused on important topics such as the truth about addiction, how it affects both the
body and mind, the science behind addiction, and common issues faced by teenagers. The
session encouraged students to participate and ask questions, making it a lively and engaging
event.
Ms. Neha Joseph, Coordinator of DREAM Trivandrum, and Ms. Anooja R, Counselor at
DREAM Trivandrum, led the session, providing clear explanations on the negative impacts
of addiction and offering tips on how to avoid it. The goal of the session was to help students
understand the risks of drug use and how to protect themselves.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) is a project by BREADS
(Bangalore Rural Education and Development Society), working in partnership with
Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society. The project aims to reduce drug use among young
people by offering free education, counseling, and de-addiction services. The initiative strives
to create a drug-free environment by supporting youth through prevention and intervention
programs.
