DREAM Trivandrum conducted a awareness session at Government Voccational Higher
secondary school kottukal , focusing on drug addiction and its detrimental effects on youth.
The session covered essential topics such as the facts about addiction, its impact on mental
and physical health, the science behind addiction, and the challenges faced during
adolescence. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to engage and reflect on
the issues presented.
The session was led by Ms. Neha Joseph, Coordinator of DREAM Trivandrum, and Ms.
Anooja R, Counselor at DREAM Trivandrum, who provided valuable information on the
consequences of addiction and strategies to prevent it. The program aimed to raise awareness
about the long-term risks associated with drug use, empowering students to make informed
decisions.
DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) is an initiative by BREADS
(Bangalore Rural Education and Development Society) in collaboration with the Trivandrum
Don Bosco Veedu Society. The project focuses on reducing drug use among children and
adolescents through education, counseling, and de-addiction services. All services are offered
free of charge, with the goal of creating a drug-free environment and providing ongoing
support to vulnerable youth.
