Parents play a crucial role in shaping a child’s character, yet they may sometimes be
unaware of what’s happening with their children, including the evolving trends and the
prevalence of addictive behaviors among the younger generation.
DREAM Trivandrum, in partnership with MGNREGS of Maranaloor Panchayat,
conducted an awareness program for workers regarding the impacts of drug use and
other forms of addiction among children and youth. The session, led by Ms. Neha
Joseph, Coordinator of DREAM Trivandrum, shed light on the current societal
landscape and strategies to combat social issues.
DREAM – Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring is a right based initiative by
Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society Trivandrum and Banglore Rural Education And
Development Society which focuses to reduce the prevalence of drugs and other forms
of addiction among children and youth. Preventive education strategy including
awareness generation, counseling services and de addiction services are being
provided to reach the goal.
