DREAM Trivandrum conducted a an awareness at Government high school Uzhamalakkal. The main goal of the informative awareness session by Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring (DREAM) arranged at Government High School in Uzhamalakkal was to address the urgent problem of drug abuse and other types of addiction among children and youth. The program’s objectives were to enlighten and support kids while also increasing public awareness of the negative impacts of drugs and addiction.
To address the problems raised, DREAM Trivandrum visited the children in their class rooms. And talked about the effects drugs have on the body and mind, the repercussions of using them legally, and the many choices for rehabilitation.
Recognizing the signs of addiction early is essential to prevent the situation from escalating is the key point to be remembered in order to help the young generation from being to the hands of addiction. The session prioritized this view.
DREAM- Drug Rehabilitation Education And Mentoring is a right based initiative of Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society with the support of Banglore Rural Education And Development Society to reduce the prevalence of addiction and substances among the youth and children. This is achieved through various programs like awareness sessions counselling services and De addiction services.
