Thiruvananthapuram Railway CHILDLINE conducted a CHG Meeting at the Central Railway Station, Trivandrum

Railway Child Help Desk team with Mr. N. Mahesh (Station Director, TVC) and other Railway officials for the Child Help Group meeting which was conducted at the Meeting Hall, Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station

Thiruvananthapuram Railway CHILDLINE organized a Child Help Group (CHG) meeting at Meeting Hall, TVC on 26^th May 2023. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Arun (Volunteer, RCHD). Fr. Saji Elambasseril heartily welcomed our new Station Director Mr. N. Mahesh.  The Presidential Address was delivered by our newly joined Station Director Mr. N. Mahesh. He added the performance of Railway Child Help Desk of month March and April was very good and appreciated the work of RCHD. A short video of 5 years journey of Railway Child Help Desk was presented before the Officials especially the new Station Director which includes the major activities done by the previous year’s such as day observances, Sensitization programmers, Special programs, Train outreaches programs, Intermediate Railway Station outreach programs, Open House programs, School level awareness programs, Training programs etc. It was hard to pick just one standout accomplishment. Fr. Saji Elambasseril (Director, RCHD) delivered key note address in the meeting. He explained the objective of the Child Help Group meeting, care and protection of the children and the Don Bosco Nivas.  

Mrs. Zeena Sunil (Coordinator, RCHD) presented the previous month’s report which included total case interventions, day observance, successful stories and special programs in PowerPoint presentation.  The felicitation was delivered by Mr. Bobby S Kumar (Station Commercial Manager, TVC) and he added the activities of RCHD’s work are very effective and express happiness of the rescued children.  Mrs. Usha Kumari (CTI, TVC) also felicitation and and promised to provide full support to RCHD. After that, Mrs. Zeena Sunil (Coordinator, RCHD) presented the last CHG meeting minutes report and the agendas. All the agendas were approved by the Officials.

 Mrs. Usha Kumari.S (CTI, TVC), Ms. Sowmya, Ms. Mini and Ms. Shini  (SCPO, TVC) represented from GRP, Mr. Anil  Kumar (RPF, TVC), Mrs. Vidhya (CHI, TVC), Technical supporters and CHD Staff also participated in the meeting and were actively involved in the open discussion. Technical support to the meeting and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Jeffin John (RCHD Counsellor).  Mr. Arun (Volunteer, RCHD) hosted the meeting.
