An awareness visual series is the initiative of the Thiruvananthapuram Don Bosco Veedu Society to create awareness about child protection and safety systems through Indian sign language. This first-ever awareness video series in sign language about child care and safety systems and rules that apply to hearing and speech-impaired children and adults who are often overlooked in society was released by Padma Vibhushan Mr. Adoor Gopalakrishnan. He also appreciated the new initiative of the Don Bosco Veedu Society, which became the voice of the voiceless, and other activities by the organisation for the welfare of the children. The introductory speech was given by Fr. Saji Elambasseril, Director of Don Bosco Veedu Society, the man behind mudrika. Rev. Fr. Jiji Kalavanal (Rector, Don Bosco Society), who presided over the ceremony, noted that this movement, Sign Language Education Series-Mudrika, will be able to create awareness about child rights and child protection for thousands of children. Mr Sreenivasan IAS, Secretary Margy, and Smt. S. Sreekumari (Principal Government Special School, Jagathy) extended the words of felicitation. The event was made lively with the performances of Master Roshan Lenin, Ms. Akhina, and Ms. Anjana (students from the Deaf School, Jagathy). The mudrika series includes the following topics:
