A Christmas Camp was organised for MIRACLE beneficiaries

A 3-day Christmas Camp was organized for the children in the MIRACLE project from December 28 2022 to December 30, 2022. Educative sessions and interactive activities were conducted in the first two days. A communicative session was taken by Mrs Amritha, Session on Self – Confidence by Ms Alfa, a session on current affairs by Mr Vaisakh, and a session on origami by Mr Deivith. This was followed by a grand Christmas Celebration on the final day.

Jalakam 2.0 Christmas Celebration began with a beautiful prayer by Zefaniya and Jyothi. This was followed by a welcome Speech by Sruthy. Fr. Jiji Kalavanal, Rector and Manager, Don Bosco Veedu, Fr. Saji Elambasseril, Director, Don Bosco Veedu and Founder (MIRACLE project), Fr. Manu, Mr Manuel George, Mr Antoy Boban, Sponsor, MIRACLE, other staff members and caretakers joined the celebration. Fr. Jiji Kalavanal inaugurated the program with an inaugural speech. Fr. Saji delivered the keynote address. Christmas message was given by Fr. Manu and Mr Manuel. Mr Antony Boban shared a beautiful Christmas message and wished the children.

The children performed a wonderful tabloid depicting the birth of Jesus. Christmas messages were shared by the children along with a group carol song and an energetic group dance. The children exchanged Christmas gifts which boosted their Christmas spirit. Children who secured great positions in kalolsavam (Arts fest) were honoured. Mr Deivith played a beautiful song which was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and a concluding message by Fr. Saji.

Celebrating Christmas is always a warm way to renew relationships and be grateful for a whole year of blessings. Celebrating it with a family away from home is another blissful experience. Children who might not always get the privilege to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones got an opportunity to create an unforgettable Christmas experience through MIRACLE.

MIRACLE is a project that assists children who have been separated from their primary caregivers in order to keep them out of the system. MIRACLE provides skill training, English training, counseling, and financial assistance for the education of 40 children in the Trivandrum district.
