Thiruvananthapuram Railway Childline organized an Exhibition as part of “CHILDLINE SE DOSTI WEEK” from 15th November 2022 to 19th November 2022 at Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station, Platform no.2. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Joy B R (Commercial Station Manager) and Mr. Babloo (Station Manager), TVC. The main aim of the exhibition is to spread mass awareness in public about CHILDLINE. The materials displayed in the exhibition are very informative. The exhibition included posters regarding Child labor, Education, Empowerment, Child abuse and Poverty. The Social issues are expressed through the drawings and paintings. Mr. Ajith Kumar (RPF Inspector), Mr. Manuel George (Program Manager, Don Bosco Veedu Society), Mrs. Soumya (WPO, RPF), Mrs. Mini (Sr.CPO GRP), Mrs. Shiny (CPO, GRP), Electrical staff and Mechanical staff participated in the inaugural ceremony. It was possible to bring mass awareness to the general public.
Fr. Jiji (Rector, Don Bosco Veedu Society), Cine artist Mr. Padma Kumar, CHILDLINE TIU Team, Fr. Saji Elambasseri (Director, Railway Childline & Don Bosco Veedu Society), the Supervisor of OBHS Mr. Babu, the students from National College Trivandrum, Other Railway Officials including Primary Stake holders and Secondary Stake holders and passengers included children and adults were visited the exhibition on these days. They gave feedback that the materials displayed in the exhibition are very informative. The display on the exhibition attracted many people and they took part in the exhibition and also spread the awareness about CHILDLINE. The exhibition concluded with positive feedbacks.
Railway Childline is an active and effective part of Childline. The outreach programs of the project mainly focused on child protection and providing awareness about Childline and its activities.
